TECHSHORE INSPECTION SERVICES : HVAC : VRF SYSTEM

VRF SYSTEM

Variable refrigerant volume (VRV) or variable refrigerant flow (VRF) is relatively a new technology in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system.  New VRV systems offer relatively high energy efficiency, durability as well as flexibility. The operation site will be  free from sound and provides the user a controlled temperature inside the room.
In case of traditional HVAC systems, they were usually limited to single unit for condensing purpose, compressor and also a single evaporator. A VRV system designing will be done such as to specifically meet all the needs of an entire building of any size. One condensing unit otherwise indoor unit can be connected to several evaporators otherwise called as outdoor units, each of which are controlled individally.
In case of a traditional HVAC system, the system starts working when the temperature conditions inside the  room will be too warm or cold; but when considering about a VRV system it will continuously adjusts the amount of coolant or refrigerant which will be sending to each evaporator and also uses the existing cool or heat cool air inside the building. This speed variation in the working of the VRV allows the system to work properly according to the need of that particular area to maintain a comfortable level.

Advantages of VRF/VRV air conditioning systems

Energy efficient.
Precise temperature control.
Simultaneous heating & cooling.
Heat recovery.
Zoned comfort.
Flexible & modular designs.
Simpler to install.
Sophisticated, easy to use controls.

Dis advantages of VRV/VRF system

Price per ton is too high.
Cooling heating simultaneously is limited. (2 or 3 pipe system also very expensive).
For high rise building the system cannot be used.
All manufacturers are not providing this.
Standby system is also limited for critical areas.
Need to increase tonnage for longer piping.
